Janette Nguyen, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Premier NW Houston Medical Group near Houston in Cypress, Texas. Dr. Nguyen offers care for the entire family, including wellness exams, diabetes care, hypertension treatment, senior care, well-woman exams, school physicals, and pre-ops and hospital follow-ups.
Dr. Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Virginia, where she graduated summa cum laude and earned the Department of Biology’s Most Outstanding Honors. She went on to earn her medical degree (MD) in 2000. Dr. Nguyen completed her residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas at Houston in 2003.
Dr. Nguyen is an accomplished researcher and presenter. She has spoken at such events as the American College of Rheumatology’s Annual Scientific Meeting and has completed research projects in the fields of systemic sclerosis and hereditary non-polyposis colon cancer.
In addition to holding board-certification in internal medicine, Dr. Nguyen specializes in geriatric care and has extensive expertise in managing the health needs of patients who reside in assisted living communities. She believes that good health starts with prevention. Geriatric care requires special knowledge, and care of older patients may sometimes take a unique approach. Dr. Nguyen is well-versed in rehabilitative care and extremely knowledgeable regarding outside community resources, and she works well with different types of providers and specialists.
